Part-12. Fuel Contamination

What do you do when you accidentally purchase some bad fuel in a less developed country?

Firstly, you need to be prepared. Secondly, you need to have the tools to replace filters and perhaps more importantly, to find out why. And common sense to know that a full tank of contaminated fuel will damage any replacement filters you fit. So either use all the fuel with the same filters, even though perfrmance may be degraded, or drain the tanks, and then fit the filters. Or jury-rig the filters and have the best of both. This is exactly what happened to Andrew and Paul as they travelled through Botswana making this series of training films. The story continues. . .
